I can't believe our little baby has gotten so big, he outgrew his crib and was ready for a big boy room! This was such a fun project because it is so close to my heart. Every single detail was selected to put the biggest smile on Kailo's face and seeing his reaction made it all so special!
I wanted to create a space for him that he can grow with and easily transform as he finds new interests. To start, my husband DIYed the board and batten wall that will be timeless no matter Kailo's age. We love how it adds so much depth to his room without being too over barring.
Currently, Kailo is OBSESSED with all things cars, trains and trucks so I knew I had to incorporate that into his space. Once he passes this phase, we can easily replace those images with whatever his little heart desires!
Having storage was another priority for his room. The baskets and this dresser with the cutest leather pulls adds so much more room for us to store his toys without all of the clutter.
My extremely talented friend who has a small business, Boxed Confetti, made Kailo this custom sign that might just be my favorite feature in the room. It is so meaningful and represents exactly what we wish for our son as he grows up.
These book ledges are probably the most used in his room. Not only is it such a fun way to add color to the space, it is so functional since we hung them low enough for Kailo to grab on his own.
